Attending Classes

Yoga and meditation is founded on the development of self-awareness including of our own physical and mental capabilities and limitations, and the rate at which those limitations can be gradually overcome through practice.

It is essential that students retain full responsibility for their own physical wellbeing in applying instructions provided in Yogala classes to their own circumstances, both during and outside classes. Yogala provides instructions to students in the practice of yoga and meditation strictly on that basis. Yogala will not accept liability for any injury or loss suffered by students in their practice, whether during or outside classes. By attending a class at Yogala you

I warrant that I have no medical condition that would prevent my participation in Yogala classes, workshops and events. I confirm that throughout my classes at Yogala I will listen to and be responsible for my own body and were I to participate with an old or healing injury or a medical condition, I will be gentle on my body, and take full responsibility for practicing in such a way as to support myself and any injuries or conditions.

I accept responsibility to inform Yogala for any medical conditions, injuries, pregnancy or changes to my health that may affect my practice before attending the class.

I participate in Yogala classes, events and workshops at my own risk, and will not hold Yogala or it’s instructors responsible for any loss or injury.

I accept that I am responsible for my belongings when attending classes at Yogala.

If I am no longer able to make a class into which I have booked in, I will cancel my online booking up to 60 min prior to scheduled class start time.

We encourage you to book into classes online in advance – we then know to expect you, save you a spot in the class, and also keeps you committed to showing up!

Cancel any online bookings at least 60min prior the scheduled start time. Cancellations less than 60min prior to the start time, or no shows are charged as usual (including if needed a $5 no show fee if you’re on an unlimited pass)

Cancellations must be done yourself, via your online account (no email or phone cancellations)

Classes start on time, please aim to arrive a few minutes early. The front door may be locked if class is on outside reception hours, so once class starts you won’t be able to gain access

You are expected to stay for the duration of – absolutely no sneaky exits pre or mid sivasana (final rest). This is the best bit, trust us!

Unlimited Memberships

Our unlimited memberships allow you to practice at any of the classes on our regular timetable, as many times a day as you like. We offer these as:

  • paid upfront in 6 or 12 month periods,
  • or paid as you go, on a fortnightly basis with a minimum of 12 week sign up

You can pause your membership at any time, for a minimum of one week (7 days). There is a maximum pause period of any of our memberships of 6 weeks at a time, and 10 weeks in total for both 6 and 12 month paid upfront memberships. We require a minimum of 3 business days notice to pause your membership. All requests must be emailed to us.

Paid upfront memberships will be charged on the date of purchase, and commence on that same date, unless you select otherwise at purchase. Your expiry date will be based upon the date of commencement (either 6 or 12 months from date of commencement), and will adjust over time to take account of any pass pauses you request.

Paid upfront memberships do not recur once the membership expires – the membership will end, and you will need to re-purchase a membership should you wish to continue.

Pay-as-you-go memberships are paid on a fortnightly basis, and will continue until you notify us of your wish to cancel. You must provide a minimum of 3 business days to do so. Cancellations must be put in email to downdog@yogala.com.au
